Many elderly people need help staying at home, but they also need help in other areas of their lives. This is why each Stay at Home agency assembles a Total Family Care Team made up of trusted providers of companion care, medical care, facility care, legal planning, financial planning, mortuary planning, home maintenance, and medical equipment.
People who need Stay at Home’s services—whether because of an injury or medical condition or because of the inevitable challenges of old age—generally need other help as well.
One very common need is for medical equipment. Getting the right wheelchair, ramp, or lift can help prevent you from being injured, or re-injured. The same holds true for bathroom equipment, oxygen, and the whole range of medical devices that help you get through the day.
Here are some questions we ask when we meet with the family of a potential client:
- Are your loved one’s medical equipment needs being met?
- Have all equipment options been explored?
- Are disposables a part of your loved one’s ongoing care needs?
- Is the existing supplier(s) dependable and responsible?
If you don’t have a supplier, or if your supplier is unreliable, Stay at Home can help. We have relationships with reliable, trustworthy professionals who can do everything from installing a ramp or lift to making sure you have an adequate supply of disposables. Once these needs are met, staying at home can be a pleasure again.
